As mothers and entrepreneurs, we know all too well the challenges of balancing work and parenting responsibilities. A recent survey by Watch-shop sheds light on the difficulties faced by working mothers, and the results are both staggering and empowering!

The survey found that working mothers spend an average of 54 additional hours a week on parenting and household chores, totaling an average of 79 hours a week. This is a testament to the resilience of mothers everywhere, and it’s a challenge that many of us face every day!

Despite the pressures of balancing work and family, many mothers continue to strive for success in their careers or just simply don’t have a choice. Unfortunately, the survey showed that 25% of single mothers reported that their employers were not very understanding of their need to balance work and parenting responsibilities. A third of mothers felt guilty if they had to miss work because of their children. Over half of the mothers surveyed were working full-time and on average, they had just one hour off a day!!! We know the feeling!

As mothers, we all have a deep love for our children and want to ensure they are nurtured but to do this we need to demonstrate multitasking skills that are truly remarkable?! These qualities should be celebrated and acknowledged, and mothers everywhere should be proud of their determination and commitment to being strong women!!

It is time for society to recognise and celebrate working mothers for their hard work and dedication, and to acknowledge the challenges they face every day. To all working mothers out there, you are QUEENS, and we want to send a message of encouragement and empowerment to each and every one of you. Big up to our working mums on our AMP Agency roster.
