Junior traveled to Weatherford, Texas to document Macedonio. The first part of this installment was taken in the small town trailer park that he was raised in and currently still resides. The second being on the ranch that took him and gave him a home. After battling alcohol addiction, Cowboying figuratively and literally saved his life. He’s been sober for 4 years now and has been featured as an actor in hit movies and television series. Macé can see his life is on a beautiful trajectory but he wanted to still provide the reality of his current situation; the kid from trailer park.
Serving as an inspiration to the kids in the park, he gave them hope. Letting them know “I’m still here”.
Just days before Junior flew in, he reconnected with his Abuelo from Mexico for the first time in 24 years. Though being a first generation Cowboy, he mentioned that so much of who he is started with his Grandpa and his love for music. As much as this was about Macés story, it was also about preserving a family history and giving his relatives images that will live forever of their Abuelo doing what he loves; playing music.
